The New York Yankees have acquired Brandon Drury in a three-team deal that saw Steven Souza land with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Tampa Bay Rays received second base prospect Nick Solak from the Yankees, and pitcher Anthony Banda and two players to be named from the Diamondbacks.

The Diamondbacks also received minor league pitcher Taylor Widener from the Yankees.

Trade interest in Hunter Renfroe has picked up in the wake of the San Diego Padres signing Eric Hosmer.

The Padres gave Hosmer an eight-year, $144 million contract.

The signing of Hosmer likely pushes Wil Myers to the outfield, where the Padres already have Renfroe, Jose Pirela and Manuel Margot.

Renfroe, 26, has hit .242/.291/.492 with 30 home runs over 515 career plate appearances.

Brian Sabean says he "will be more involved" in running the San Francisco Giants at the Major League-level during the 2018 season.

Sabean has long been San Francisco's top baseball operations executive, but had largely turned over regular affairs to general manager Bobby Evans when they both received new titles before the 2015 season.

The Minnesota Twins made the Tampa Bay Rays a trade offer for Chris Archer "as recently as two weeks ago," according to a report.

The clubs have been linked in rumors this offseason as the Twins explore all avenues in search of pitching. The Twins have also shown interest in Tampa Bay's Jake Odorizzi.

The Rays would be expected to demand Max Kepler in any package.

The New York Yankees have acquired Russell Wilson from the Texas Rangers for future considerations.

Wilson is expected to appears at the Yankees' Spring Training camp.

Wilson has long expressed a desire to play for the Yankees, and Rangers general manager Jon Daniels and his New York counterpart, Brian Cashman, have spent several weeks working to accommodate his wishes, a source told ESPN.

"We've admired Russell's career from afar for quite some time," Cashman said in a statement. "This is a unique opportunity for us to learn from an extraordinary athlete who has reached the pinnacle of his profession.

"After talking to a number of our players, there is a genuine excitement in having Russell join us for a short time in camp. We are all looking forward to gaining insight into how he leads teammates toward a common goal, prepares on a daily basis for the rigors of his sport, and navigates the successes and failures of a season."

Wilson played two years of professional baseball as a second baseman in the Colorado Rockies' system after being selected in the fourth round of MLB's 2010 first-year player draft.

The Milwaukee Brewers, who are searching for a starting pitcher, have had recent contact with the Tampa Bay Rays about Chris Archer.

After dealing for Christian Yelich, the Brewers may not be willing to dip deep enough into their farm system to make a deal for Archer.

Archer will make a little more than $14 million combined over the next two seasons before club options for $9 million in 2020 and $11 million in 2021.
